The Executive Committee of Sri Lankan Catholic Association appreciates the support that we received from all of you to make our seventh Grand Christmas Celebration, “Little Town of Bethlehem” a very successful one. The positive feedback we received is very encouraging.
We were showered with our Heavenly Father’s abundant blessings in organising this event, and we Praise Him for his Grace and Mercy!
Our sincere acknowledgment goes to:
-The Government of South Australia for partly funding the event.
-Our sponsors (Platinum – Me & My Space and Kadalla), Gold (Fantasy Living Art through volunteer help for beautiful table decorations), Silver (Tutors SA), Wine Sponsor (Sri Lions Wine), all digital advertisers, donors for raffle draw, door prize and ticket printing.
-Distinguished guests attended for the function, Mr Michael Brown, MP Floery representing Hon Zoe Bettison, Minster for Multicultural Affairs. Hon Jing Lee, Shadow Minster for Communities, and other representatives from the Boards of MCCSA and Migrant Council.
-Service providers: Fogolar Furlan for allowing us extended time for hall set-up, Caterer- Bali Ceylon, Live entertainment – ASHRA Band and sound technicians.
-External volunteers – Sri Lankan Dance & Drama School for cultural dance, Nathalie Keerthiratne for photography, slideshow runner, table cloth provider and all those who helped in pre and post function work.
-Our catechists, nativity scene participants their parents and the choir for the carol programme.
-Our own community members who helped in numerous ways to ensure that we maintain the quality and the standard of our Grand Christmas Celebration , through designing promotional flyers, ticket design, table plan, other organising work, decorations, function running including service at bar and pack down.
-Sincere thanks goes to all those who attended the function and for those who provided a word of encouragement.
