I’m Himara Jayasundara. I offer individualised mathematics tutoring service for K-Year 9 students.
I am an A+ student, achieving an average of over 95% for Specialist Maths, Physics and English. I have received medallions for my academic efforts. I have a Working with Children’s Check that expires in 2025, allowing me to legally work with children. I will have my check on me during my tutoring sessions. I have previous experience working with children as I have volunteered for the Smith Family Student2Student reading program and volunteer biannually at an orphanage in Sri Lanka.
I aim to equip students with strategies to problem-solve. My tutoring sessions are designed to consolidate and master key concepts from previous years in a retainable manner, allowing me to fill any gaps in the student’s knowledge. I also focus on teaching new concepts that will emerge in prospective academic years. I will provide a revision structure in the form of printed worksheets that will focus on specific content which will be included in upcoming exams to maximise the student’s performance.
My tutoring is personalised and catered to the needs of the student. I am able to conduct tutoring sessions at the Walkerville Public Library or via Zoom conference calls with the aid of an electronic whiteboard. Tutoring session times are negotiable.
