For the benefit of the people who have just arrived and are looking to get into the workforce.
Careers expos/ fairs- A good place to see what local employers are recruiting people. Just by walking around an expo, I found out that ANMEC is offering free/ subsidised courses in nursing, Mt Barker local council is looking for trainees, TAFE has many free courses, at least 3 NFPs are looking for volunteers (a good place to get references).
Keep an eye, walk in to the local library and check the notices, check the careers@council website
