You are cordially invited to be part of the Sri Lankan contingent at the Australia Day in the City Parade to be held on 26th of January 2015.
This parade will commence at 6 pm from the Victoria square and will conclude in the Elder park.
There will be nearly 150 community groups representing various countries participating in this mega parade celebrating their identity in multicultural South Australia. The Parade will consist of dance groups, bands, vintage vehicles and floats and will finish with a musical concert and a fireworks display at the banks of the River Torrence. This event is organised by the Adelaide City Council and is sponsored by the Commonwealth Bank and Channel 9.
This will be the first time that Sri Lanka will be participating in this parade and it will be a great opportunity for all Sri Lankans living in Adelaide to be part of this event which will be telecast live via Channel 9. In addition, there will beawards for the best dance, best costume and best contingent.
